Benton County Farm Bureau hosting annual Cookout Contest

Benton County Farm Bureau is happy to be hosting their annual Cookout Contest again this year at the County Fair! This event will be held on Saturday, June 28. Contestants can begin cooking at 8 a.m., with judging beginning at 4 p.m. Categories this year include beef, pork, lamb, turkey, poultry, and youth. All first-place category winners, as well as Grand Champion, will receive monetary prizes! To register, please visit the Benton County Farm Bureau Facebook page and find the link to pre-register.

Farmers Market Begins June 5

Vinton Parks and Recreation Farmers Market will begin on Thursday, June 5 and continue every Thursday evening through September. Events are from 5-7:00 p.m. at Celebration Park on West 2nd St. The market is held rain or shine. In case of severe weather check the Vinton Parks and Recreation Facebook page for cancellation information. Join the fun at our special “community celebration” every Thursday night starting in June! Special guest every week! Hot sandwiches are served at our outdoor café.
